Mr.Leung Yiu Hung 梁耀雄老師

Hi, my name is Leung Yiu Hung and my English name is Humphrey, which is a compound of the words giant and peace fr

om the old English name Hunfrith. This is the first year I have taught in Assembly of God Hebron Secondary School although I have three years’ teaching experience in different schools. I mainly teach English and I am Form 1B’s class teacher this year.

I am very happy to teach in Hebron Secondary School as I think that teachers and students here are very nice. We always not only share our ups and downs, but also learn from each other. I really hope that I can arouse my students’ interest towards English as I like English very much. I obtained a first-class honours degree in English linguistics and English literature when I was at university. A growing interest in Linguistics further led me to study for a Master degree in Linguistics. As to be a teacher was my dream, I also studied the Education Diploma in English, which now inspires me how to teach English more effectively and efficiently, last year. I hope my students will like my teaching.

I live in Tuen Mun, which is far away from school. Therefore, I have to get up at 5:45 in the morning and take a mini-bus and a train to go to school. I never went to Tai Wo before. I think it is a good chance for me to know Tai Wo more.

I am the eldest brother in my family. Happily, we have had a new family member, Inuk, since last summer. Inuk is my dog. He is a Siberian husky from Australia. He is now 5 months old. He has green eyes and red hair. He is very nice and lovely. I like playing with him after work. On Sunday mornings, Inuk and I will go hiking. We run together and greet other dogs when we hike. Apart from Inuk, I also have two Hamsters (one boy and one girl) at home.

I like arts and culture. I like musicals, especially Les Miserables and operas. Besides, I like drawing and painting. You know, I am learning oil painting on Saturdays. More importantly, I enjoy travelling a lot. I have been to many countries (England, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Malaysia, America, Australia and so forth). Travelling broadens my mind and widens my horizon.  On the one hand, I can learn foreign cultures that I would like to share with my students. On the other hand, I can learn how to take care of myself.

Above all, I think it’s God’s will that allows me to teach here. I would like to be a good teacher to introduce English to my students. At the same time, I would also like to introduce God to them. I wish all people in Hebron would have a happy life under the protection of God.
